JOB TITLE:  Materials Testing Sales Representative

GENERAL SUMMARY

Aztech is seeking a bright and motivated Materials Testing Services Sales Representative to work across the Southern Nevada region. This is a great opportunity to learn and grow professionally, while working on projects with industry-leading techniques. The right person will serve as a technical sales representative for our material testing activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients to maximize sales, foster collaboration and teamwork with all company personnel, manage customer relationships through the sale and work completion. (70%)
  • Establish and implement a comprehensive sales plan while also identifying and promoting service differentiation. (10%)
  • Ensure technical understanding, capabilities and credentials to effectively communicate technical services of company to prospective and existing clients (10%)
  • Find new service opportunities, work with clients and prospects to establish new service opportunities, prepare proposals in consultation with the management team and communicate with the client with respect to service requirements, proposals and contracts. (10%)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Five plus years of construction sales experience, preferably three years of successful materials testing sales and project management; solid understanding of materials testing services.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Project management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
  • Must have a valid driving license and to secure a successful drug & alcohol test.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Meet or exceed sales quota. Ensure no client complaints received due to sales and service efforts.
  • Establish new projects.
  • Perform responsibilities as directed within determined time frames and with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department and the company.
  • Maintain the professional competence, knowledge and skills necessary to effectively complete responsibilities; enhance job knowledge and abilities by taking personal responsibility for professional development and training.

JOB TITLE:  Field Technician

GENERAL SUMMARY

Responsible for all aspects of soil, concrete and asphalt testing per standard and regulation, at each assigned job-site in the field. Performs routine to very complex field test and observations to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications. Responsible for proper procedures, accurate computations, and good working relationships with clients and/or contractors.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Takes samples of soil, concrete and asphalt, performs requested tests and prepares samples for transporting.
  2. Transports materials within the required time to the lab for additional testing.
  3. Works closely with clients, contractors and inspectors on job sites.
  4. Accurately document all testing performed, in a timely basis to maximize value to client.
  5. Maintains and protects company equipment assigned to them.
  6. Trains other field technicians as requested.
  7. Report to dispatcher prior to leaving the jobsite.
  8. Submit paperwork daily and timecard by end of week.
  9. Dress professionally and appropriately.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  1. Ability to read, comprehend and understand specifications and plans and the ability to write reports documenting job performed.
  2. Knowledge of basic arithmetic and the ability to perform calculations.
  3. Interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with clients, contractors, inspectors and co-workers.
  4. Certifications in Nuclear Gauge and Radiation Safety and American Concrete Institute (ACI).
  5. Current Nevada driver’s license in good standing.
  6. Work requires the ability to walk on uneven ground and up slopes and hills.
  7. Stooping, bending, pushing, lifting, climbing in and out of trenches, and up and down ladders are required.
  8. Ability to be honest and maintain the integrity of the company.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Performs requested tests on soil, concrete and asphalt.
  2. Prepares back-up paperwork for all tests performed.
  3. Maintains and protects company equipment.
  4. Trains other lab technicians as requested.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  1. Ability to read, comprehend and understand specifications and plans; and the ability to write reports documenting job performed.
  2. Knowledge of basic arithmetic and the ability to perform calculations.
  3. Interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with co-workers.
  4. Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
  5. Multi-task abilities required.
  6. Work requires the ability to stand for long periods of time.
  7. The ability to stoop, bend, push, and lift of an average of 30 pounds is required.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Indoors in a laboratory environment around different types of soil, concrete and asphalt.  At times the lab is open to all types of weather conditions.
